In partnership with Amador County Unified School District and Medical Training Solutions, Amador Adult Education will be offering a Phlebotomy course.
Must be at least 18 years old and must have either a High School Diploma or GED to enroll. This is a fee based class.
Overview
The Phlebotomy program at Amador Adult Education prepares students by teaching the skills needed to safely collect blood specimens. Students receive hands-on training in venipuncture, capillary draws, infection control, patient interaction, and proper laboratory procedures. The course emphasizes professionalism, safety, and confidence in a clinical setting. Students who successfully complete the program and pass the NHA exam will participate in a clinical externship.

Program Availability
Fall Phlebotomy Course: August 25, 2026 through October 1, 2026. Space is limited to 30 students. Students must attend the mandatory orientation meeting.
Spring Phlebotomy Course: January 30, 2027 thru May 1, 2027. Space is limited to 30 students. Students must attend the mandatory orientation meeting.
