In partnership with Amador County Unified School District and Medical Training Solutions, Amador Adult Education will be offering a Medical Assistant course.
Must be at least 18 years old and must have either a High School Diploma or GED to enroll. This is a fee based class.
Overview
The Medical Assistant program at Amador Adult Education prepares students for careers in the healthcare field through classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students learn skills including vital signs, patient care, medical terminology, infection control, and professionalism in a medical setting. The program helps students build confidence and develop practical skills used in healthcare offices and clinics. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the NHA exam will participate in an externship.

Program Availability
Fall Medical Assistant Course: September 2, 2026 through December 9, 2026. Space is limited to 24 students. Students must attend the mandatory orientation meeting.
