HiSET® and GED®
The High School Equivalency Test Preparation Program provides students with free individualized and continuous test preparation and assessment to help successfully pass California state-recognized high school equivalency exams such as the HiSET® and GED®. These state equivalency exams test students in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Upon successfully passing the state high school equivalency battery of tests, students will receive a credential from the California Department of Education. A formal ceremony will be held at the end of the school year for all test completers who attended our preparation class.

High School Diploma
The High School Diploma Program (HSD) is for students earning credits toward a high school diploma. Amador Adult Education follows the core requirements of the State of California and the governing board of the Amador County Unified School District (ACUSD). The total number of credits needed to obtain an Adult Education diploma is 180 and the requirements are listed below. Upon completion of requirements, students will receive a high school diploma at a formal ceremony towards the end of the school year.
